Sébastien is no stranger to pushing boundaries and innovation, Pièce Montée which roughly translates to the wedding cake is made with macerating Gamay and Chardonnay in alternating layers in a fiberglass tank for two weeks before being pressed, a rather experimental technique.

The outcome is a juicy red with smooth tannins and fresh aromas of exotic and red fruits with a nice structure and saline finish.

This is a medium bodied natural red wine.

About Winecraft

Sébastien Morin, a passionate natural winemaker based in Saint-Étienne-des-Oullières, in the southern part of Beaujolais. His journey into winemaking started in the early 2000s after a chance encounter with natural wine pioneer Jean-Marc Brignot. Influenced by Brignot’s winemaking philosophy of low intervention, long maceration and slow presses, Sébastien transitioned from his previous career in IT to focus on crafting wines that truly reflect their terroir.
