Grauburgunder Calx 2021

Grauburgunder Calx 2021 by Weingut Mann is a distinctive orange wine crafted from 100% Grauburgunder grapes. The name "Calx" derives from the Latin word for lime, reflecting the unique terroir that shapes this wine.

Half of the grapes are direct pressed while the other half undergoes skin fermentation for two weeks, resulting in a wine with exceptional depth and character. The juice is then fermented and aged in large German oak barrels (stück-fass, 1200L) for one year. Bottled just before the following harvest without filtration or added sulphur, this wine offers a pure, unadulterated expression of Grauburgunder.
